Cultural Heritage

Cultural Heritage

Cultural Heritage is an expression used to describe the lifestyles developed by a community and passed on from generation to generation, including customs, artistic expression and values. Cultural Heritage is often expressed as either Intangible or Tangible Cultural Heritage (ICOMOS, 2002). As a part of human activity Cultural Heritage produces tangible representations of value systems, beliefs, traditions and lifestyles. As an essential part of culture as a whole, Cultural Heritage has from antiquity to the present included these visible and tangible traces. Though the items of cultural heritage come from the past, they should be preserved in the present and valued by the present generation. Therefore, we promote the variety of elements that constitute cultural heritage in our preparation of projects, such as artwork, architecture, books, objects, songs, folklore, values, beliefs, traditions, oral history and the lifestyles of prior generations for the appreciation of present and future generations.
